How we got here

The work started with a question most B2B software companies eventually face: how do you get from product to revenue when nobody knows you exist?

Alexander Chua spent a decade inside that problem — first through consulting, then through hands-on GTM work across SaaS verticals from construction tech to financial services. A scholarship to UBC Sauder School of Business, a valedictorian finish, and early career years in consulting laid the analytical foundation. But the real education came from running campaigns, building funnels, writing copy, and watching what actually converts across markets and cultures.

Growing up in Malaysia and moving to Canada shaped how the work gets done. Fluency in three languages. Comfort operating across cultural contexts. An instinct for how trust is built differently in different parts of the world — and how that shows up in positioning, messaging, and outreach.

That operating experience became PipelineRoad in 2023 — a B2B marketing agency co-founded with Bruno Ueda. Not a strategy shop that hands over slide decks. An execution partner that builds the systems, runs them, and ships weekly.

The agency work revealed a gap in capital markets. Fund managers across PE, VC, and real estate were struggling with the same GTM problems as SaaS founders. That observation became PipelineRoad.com — an AI capital-raising platform for fund managers. Now at 100+ pages live and growing.

Along the way, the team expanded. Alexander also serves as an Advisor at Align, bringing the same GTM rigor to advisory relationships. And the writing started — putting a decade of building, traveling across 40+ countries, and clear thinking into essays.
